Excel tip to Quickly Fill Series of Numbers in a Few Seconds Fill Command

 Microsoft excel is the powerful spreadsheet program and a great data visualization and analysis tool that is used often in all business level to collect , analyze , sort and manage data and keep it as a record or also to collect data implicitly.

Uses of excel can be listed as :

Data entry.
Data management.
Accounting.
Financial analysis.
Charting and graphing.
Programming.
Time management.
Task management.

besides these there are also some other applicable field of spreadsheet which can be explained in detail. Among all lets learn about how to quickly fill series of numbers in a few second in EXCEL SHEET.
firstly open the excel sheet and then just type number as 1  , 2 in the first column of the sheet and then select those two cell by clicking shift on the keyboard  and after this you will see a plus like symbol at the left bottom of selected cell (when hovered on that small square like box below 2) as shown below in the image like :
 

and now simply drag the plus arrow and go upto what number you want to go.you will get all the desired number on the first column .
similarly do this for other column from anywhere you like to start.

Now there is also another easy way for doing this for which the step you need to follow are mentioned below.
  1. go to the first row/column of the cell and just type 1 (or any number you would like to get started with) .
  2. go to home menu and then select the fill option from editing section.
  3. go to series option in fill menu. Select linear in type 
  4. then just select the column in the dialog box appearing and then put start to stop value in the box as below.
 


5.click on ok button and then you will see the result.
